The Department of English Philology and Translation

The Department of English Philology and Translation is headed by the Candidate of Pedagogy and Associate Professor Zinukova N. V.

The teaching staff includes Full Professors: Petrenko N. M., Zirka V. V.; Associate Professors: Vasyuchenko G. A., Nikonova V. G., Stepanova A. A.; Senior lecturers: Ishchenko T. V., Raksha A. V., Svetlichnaya E. R. Korotkova I. I. and lecturers: Biryukova M. S., Belyakova A. A. and others.

The subjects taught are: Translation Theory, Interpreting, Business English, The Fundamentals of the Theory of Speech Communication, the Introduction to the Theory of Translation, General Linguistics, History of English, English Lexicology, Stylistics and others.

The Department teaches the students of the Institute of International Communication.

The principal direction of the research activity of the department consists in the study of methods for training future interpreters and translators.
