The Department of Informatics and Mathematical Methods in Economics

The Department of Informatics and Mathematical Methods in Economics is headed by the Candidate of Technical Sciences Kholod O. G. and provides the fundamental training in Economics, Mathematics, Information and Computer Science for students of all specialities.

The teaching staff of the department teach the following principal subjects:

• Higher Mathematics;

• Theory of Probability and Mathematical Statistics;

• Mathematical Programming;

• Methods of Investigations of Operations;

• Econometrics;

• Information and Computer Science;

• Mathematical Methods and Models of Market Economy;

• Economical Risk and Methods of its Evaluation.

The teaching staff includes Associate Professors Myachin V. G., Rizun n. O., Shvachich G. G., Senior lecturers: Kopiyko O. M., Philipova O. S., Yarmolenko L. I. and others.

The distinguishing features of the Computer Science subject require constant improvements of teaching methods. As a result, the teachers of the department have developed the automated computer software for both current and module assessment tests for fundamental and special subjects.
