The Chair staff are active in carrying out scientific research. They develop the theme: ”Market Structure and Infrastructure Formation and State Regulation of Economy Reformation in the Conditions of Economic Relations System Transformation’ (state registration number 0104U008830), scientific advisor, Doctor of Science in Economics, professor A.O. Zadoya.

Contextual directions of the scientific theme of the Chair are the following:

- studying the system of factors influencing on investment attractiveness of the region;

- factors of macroeconomic balance and dynamics in modern conditions;

- studying factors explaining consumption behaiviour;

- analyzing principles of corporate management, especially at enterprises with foreign investments;

- improving the state regulation of national economy competitiveness.

In 2005 faculty members and associate teaching staff defended one doctoral and three candidate dissertations.
