The teaching staff of the chair of Sociology, Philosophy and Psychology carry out research in the field of the chair subject “Socio-humanitarian issues of the development of (private) enterpreneurship in Pridniprovye: tendencies, analysis of management”. The research work is carried out taking into account the researchers’ scholarly preferences such as:

? Sociological and market reaserch into social mechanisms of management and functioning of public opinion;

? The issues of higher education humanization;

? The issues of re-training and improving professional skills of the personnel for economy and business;

? The issues of transformation of personal psychology (of young people) in new social conditions;

? Research into ways of using Pridniprovye potential in formation of positive international image of Ukraine, etc.

One of the most important directions of the chair is attracting students to research work. It is done through introducing the following activities:

? Everyday research of the teachers together with students;

? Conducting students’ scholarly conferences (annually, in April);

? The activities of the students’ scholarly society “PR-technologies in business”;

? The work of the psychology society “Psychological group of personality development”;

The applied sociological and marketing research by the chair faculty members is implemented on the basis of the Centre of Marketing and Sociological Investigations.
